Palma de Mallorca Airport Parking

There are five types of parking at Palma de Mallorca Airport:

  1. General
  2. Long Term
  3. First Class
  4. VIP
  5. Express

The general car park, which is best suited for short stays, is facing the terminal and is spread over six floors of the seven-storey building. The ground and first floors are mostly used by the car rental companies; floors two, three and four are for general parking, with the fourth floor also having the first-class parking facility; floors five and six are for VIP and pre-paid public parking.

The car park has a space guidance system so you can find a space with ease. Battery chargers are available if you have any trouble starting your car. Each floor of the main car park has six spaces allocated for disabled badge holders and these are located close to the lifts and/or escalators.

Pedestrian access is via a walkway and travellator from arrivals on the ground level and a sky bridge from departures up to the fourth floor. There are payment machines on both of these levels and there is also a manned control booth on the ground floor. The machines accept all Euro coins, most notes and credit/debit cards. All payment machines, as well as the car park entry and exit barriers, have intercom connections to the control centre.

The long-stay car park has all covered spaces and is located a five-minute ride away from the terminal with a free shuttle bus service provided which runs approximately every fifteen minutes.

There is also an express parking area for dropping off and meeting passengers for which the first fifteen minutes are free. However, if you go over the fifteen minutes, the fee payable starts from the first minute.

For VIP parking, you will be met by a driver at the terminal, who will park your car for you. You will then be met at the same place on your return.

Parking Fees

  • General - For general parking, there are 3,180 spaces. The first minute is charged at €0.463803, then minute two to thirty at €0.017272. Taking these figures, common durations will cost the following:

    • 2 hours – €3.86
    • 3 hours – €5.79
    • 1 day – €16.50

  • First Class - This parking is the most convenient with direct access to the terminal in two minutes. This is charged at a higher rate than general parking and up to a maximum of €20.00 per day.

  • VIP - This parking must be booked in advance and the price for one week is €169.00. Your vehicle will be parked in an exclusive area with 24-hour surveillance.

  • Express - This parking area is free for the first fifteen minutes. The price for sixteen minutes is €1.65 and then €0.043581 per minute up to half an hour.

Also available is pre-paid public parking for stays of over one month. This has to be booked in advance. These spaces are on floors five and six of the general car park with 24-hour surveillance. Three months costs €295.00, six months is €565.00 and one year is €995.00.

More information on these car parks is available here, or to book, you can use the form at the top of this page.

Getting to the Car Parks

Access to the airport is from the MA-19 motorway, east or westbound following the terminal signs. For the long-stay car park, follow the orange 'P' and 'Llarga Estada' (Larga Estancia) signs. For general, first-class and pre-paid parking follow the blue 'P'; for VIP parking follow the green 'P', and for the express parking area follow the blue 'P Express' signs. To return a rental car, follow the orange car symbol with 'Rental' underneath.

Passenger Drop-Off Zone

There is a drop-off zone in front of the departures area, but the waiting time is strictly limited. Any vehicle left unattended will be towed away. It is better to use the express parking with the free fifteen minutes.

Offsite Parking

As an alternative to the official car parks, you can choose off-site parking for a stay of one day or more. As the name implies, these are companies which provide facilities outside of the airport and offer a shuttle service to and from the terminal. Parking can be as little as €28.00 per week.

For an extra price, you can opt for a meet and greet service where a driver meets you at the airport. The driver will park your car and then meet you with your car on your return.

Some companies offer additional services such as guaranteed covered parking, car valeting and servicing. Not all of these companies provide secure facilities, so it is worth checking if the facility is fenced and if it has CCTV and 24-hour surveillance.

Off-site and on-site car parks can be compared or booking via the form at the top of this page.
